- We haven't won in Madison Square Garden since 2007? Really? Why am I surprised to hear this? Why didn't I even realize this? Ok. Time to crawl out from under the rock.
- GoGo's out - McKee's in. I guess this solves the Martin Skoula problem yet one more time. I know it's a wonderful situation to be in, having too many d-men, I just hate to see Skoula become a healthy scratch again after he stepped it up and played so well when 1/2 the team was injured. But I'll admit - no one's going to block shots like McKee does. By season's end the man must be one giant bruise.
- Ok. I can't even look at Billy Guerin without laughing now and thinking of a female Mike Rupp dating him. I wouldn't be so amused by this had we not spotted them driving in together for Wednesday's game. Ironic? I think not! LOL
- I fully understand why Cookie got suspended. It really wasn't an necessary hit on Anisimov and yeah yeah yeah. They're trying to send a message and all. But really - why is it ok for Avery to go after Fedotenko on Saturday and nothing. Avery = Douchebag. It's my blog. So I can say that. Rangers fans, tough beans.

12:25 - Chris Bourque....maybe he'll prove me wrong. But why does he play again? Oh yeah. Injuries. I just don't see what he's adding to the team. They had him on the PP in NYI when Guerin went off for equipment issues and I don't think he did squat. And we wonder why there are PP problems.
9:45 - I love that TK's back. I don't think I really realized until this year how much more he adds to the team. Diving to get pucks out.
6:15 - Godard's going to go...how obvious is it? You could tell as he was in the corner and play turned to go the other way and he slowwwwwwly skated back as if he was waiting to go. Which is fine and dandy, but just like Steigy keeps preaching - "Initiate, don't retaliate". Don't get a dumb penalty guys. Grrrr.

16:48 - well, there's proof positive of why you always stick with the play. One moment I'm thinking "omg, awesome save, incredible...next thing you know. Gaborik scores. Well, give him credit, it was a nice goal.

12:27 - Mike Rupp, career high 6 goals in . Of course I had to check to see if Guerin was on the ice to hug him after he scored. The bigger question becomes if he was (he wasn't) WOULD he have hugged him? No. I'm not dropping that. Not in this post anyway.

Three stars: 1. Mike Rupp (deservedly so!) 2. Marion Gaborik (HUH?) 3 Sidney Crosby. I'm not sure about 2 & 3 as far as why, Crosby had 2 goals and 1 assist. Oh yeah. The game was in New York. SILLY ME.

Wow Keith Ballard. WTG on that little temper tantrum of yours. And what I think amazed me more than anything is after the first swing of the stick when you clearly cracked Vokoun across the face with your own stick? YOU SWUNG IT AGAIN AT THE POST. Yeah. Very Mature. Wow. Anger management anyone?
On the OPPOSITE end of the spectrum....how can it possibly be up in the air who the Team USA goalie is going to be? Assuming that both - knock on wood - stay healthy? Ryan Miller's going to keep the team in a lot of games. Wow. He's kicking some ass this year, that's for sure. Yet one more shutout for him. Granted, it was vs the Maple Leafs but at the same time it's a rivalry so you know they'd get up for that game too.
And the Blue Jackets finally won (I admit, they would qualify as my 2nd fave team) Gee. Kris Russell played - and was #2 star. Does this mean he'll sit next game Hitchcock? I don't get how that teams run, even less than I get what Yeo's doing with the PP.
So on that note? I'll quit my little rant and call it a night. After I go see what games are on tomorrow of course!
